An inclusive, free and accessible art studio space located in the Center House at Seattle Center. We are open to the public Monday–Friday from 11am–4pm throughout the year and host numerous art activities during Seattle Center’s cultural festivals and festivals for children.
What they receive:
- Free space with a large variety of art materials and adaptive equipment.
- A facilitator to provide artistic assistance.
- Assistance ranges from providing physical assistance to artistic guidance.
- Art lessons every Thursday, in various media and styles; examples include: papermaking, weaving, drawing skills by still life’s, watercolor, found object sculpture, and knitting. `
- Community, camaraderie, and social interactions with other artists and people from the public.
- Children and Adults are welcomed to participate in free projects.
- The general public is ncouraged to participate in the weekly lessons taught in the S.C.A.S.
